Introduction of Operating Committee
Purpose
Based on Notification No. 2012-1 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism:"Rule on Establishment and Dissemination of Content Identification System", and "Bylaw of Operation of UCI" of the Korea Copyright Commission, the Committee intends to operate and disseminate UCI smoothly by regulating details of UCI-related issues
Setup and Scope of Duties
- Setup
Shall set up the operating committee consisting relevant governmental bodies, academia, institutions and industry specialists in order to establish and disseminate UCI
- Scope of Duties
- Examination about the appointment and cancellation of Registration Agencies
- Advice and guidance on policies, technologies, and associated issues with regard to UCI
- Reviewing and Examination about supporting projects in relation to using, implementing and spreading UCI
- Agenda items the Committee Chair puts forward to in a committee meeting
Structure
- The Committee is comprised of less than 10 committee members including the Committee Chair
- Committee members are appointed by the director of the Korea Copyright Commission, among those who have considerable knowledge about identification systems
- The term of ocffice is 2 years and can serve consecutive terms
